Moving from the Economic Review to Economics Today magazine

Moving from the Economic Review to Economics Today magazine

Economics Today is the print magazine for A-level Economics, helping students to see Economics everywhere!

We go to print 4 times a year in September, November, January and March and in each issue we apply economic theory to topical issues in an engaging way. Students broaden, deepen and review their understanding, learning valuable exam skills including application and evaluation.

Rachel Cole: I’m so pleased with my latest copy of ET. The articles are fully based on issues that engage older teenagers, and the way in which economic theory is tied in to practical examples is extremely helpful. For example using the LRAC curve for Wetherspoons and the externalities diagram for McDonald’s was a way to go ‘beyond the textbook’. The presentation is modern and the graphs and data are fully integrated, acting as a model for students to write their own essays.

Economics Today is also of interest to those involved with Economics in higher education and is carried by a number of university libraries and recommended to first year undergraduates.

It’s a shame that The Economic Review will not be published in academic year 2026-27…….it was an excellent magazine and a worthy competitor. Similarly, Tutor2U’s A level Economics update has not been published in print form recently or, to the best of our knowledge, at all since the summer of 2025.

We’re delighted that the circulation of Economics Today continues to grow and we’ve got a great offer for those switching from The Economic Review to Economics Today. Send us your proof of purchase for a recent volume of The Economic Review and order 5+ print subscriptions to Economics Today Volume 33 for the forthcoming academic year 2026-27 and we’ll send you the 4 issues of Economics Today Volume 32 free of charge as a welcome!
